My name is Jolene "JoJoSmiley" Koby and I hiked the Appalachian Trail in 1999 and again in 2000. The following is the journal I kept in 2000 on the website Trailplace.com. A website provided by The Center for Appalachian Trail Studies and maintained primarily by Dan Wingfoot Bruce. Most of the entries are as they appear on the website with possible changes in grammer, spelling or clarification.
